Role: Thai Teaching Assistant
We are seeking warm, responsible, and experienced Thai Teaching Assistants to support our homeroom teachers across various age groupsfrom 1 -11. This role focuses on helping with classroom activities, student supervision, learning support, and communication with Thai-speaking families. The ideal candidate will be caring, proactive, able to follow teacher direction, and have at least two years of experience working with children in an educational environment.
Key Responsibilities
1. Classroom Support
- Assist homeroom teachers in daily classroom activities across all subjects.
- Help with classroom preparation, organising resources, and setting up learning materials.
- Support children during lessons, group work, and individual tasks.
- Provide additional help to students who need support with instructions, transitions, or routines.
- Assist with classroom organisation, displays, and maintaining a safe, clean learning environment.
2. Student Support
- Supervise students during class, break time, lunch, and transitions.
- Provide one-on-one or small-group assistance as directed by the lead teacher.
- Help younger students (ages 1–7) with basic routines such as toileting, meal support, handwashing, and settling activities.
- Encourage positive behaviour, emotional development, and social interaction.
- Observe and report any concerns to the homeroom teacher.
3. Administrative & Parent Support
- Assist teachers with simple record-keeping such as attendance, notes, and daily updates.
- Help communicate instructions or messages in Thai to parents when needed, under teacher guidance.
- Support coordination during school events, celebrations, trips, and activities.
- Follow policies, safeguarding procedures, and daily operational guidelines.
Qualifications & Skills
- Minimum of two (2) years’ experience working with children in a school, nursery, or educational setting
- Strong Thai language ability (speaking, reading, writing)
- Fluent English communication skills
- Ability to follow teacher instructions and work cooperatively in a team
- Kind, patient, and supportive with children
- Organised, reliable, and comfortable in a multicultural environment
- Understanding of early childhood routines and student needs (preferred)
Additional Notes
- This role directly supports international homeroom teachers, not Thai subject teachers.
- Participation in school events, parent communication, and cultural activities may be required.
