Role
The Grade 5 Teacher will take charge of the Aklum class, guiding students through a transition into more advanced subjects and fostering independent learning skills.
The role requires expertise in Montessori and Cambridge curricula, with a focus on critical thinking, leadership, and personal responsibility
Responsibilities
Curriculum Delivery: Develop and deliver lessons based on Montessori and Cambridge standards, ensuring that lessons are tailored to meet the diverse learning needs of students.
Classroom Management: Create and maintain a structured, positive classroom environment that promotes student engagement, leadership, and collaboration.
Assessment and Evaluation: Conduct ongoing assessments to monitor academic progress, using data to modify instruction and provide targeted support.
Leadership Development: Help students build leadership and collaboration skills, encouraging them to take responsibility for their learning.
Parent Communication: Maintain regular contact with parents, updating them on student progress, challenges, and classroom activities.
Professional Development: Continuously seek out professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and stay current with educational practices.
Extracurricular Involvement: Participate in extracurricular activities, supporting the school’s mission to offer a well-rounded education experience.
Requirements
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Education, with specialization or experience in the Montessori or Cambridge curriculum.
Experience: Minimum of 3 years teaching experience, particularly with upper primary school students.
Skills:
- Strong organizational skills.
- Excellent communication abilities.
- The ability to foster critical thinking and leadership in students.
Certifications: Valid teaching certification required.
