Role
Tree Yard International School is seeking a dynamic and dedicated Hebrew Teacher to join our Green Ladders Program for students aged 10–14. The successful candidate will be fluent in Hebrew and English, with proven experience teaching Hebrew language and culture. This role is designed for an active, sporty educator who can inspire and engage older learners through creative, hands-on, and interactive teaching methods.
The Green Ladders Program blends academic rigor with sports, life skills, and activity-based learning, so the ability to integrate Hebrew teaching into a wider, active curriculum is essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach Hebrew language, reading, writing, and conversation to students in the Green Ladders Program.
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons that promote language fluency and cultural understanding.
- Use active learning methods, including games, movement, and real-world projects, to enhance student engagement.
- Assess student progress and adapt teaching methods to suit varied learning styles and needs.
- Provide constructive feedback to students and regular progress updates to parents.
- Collaborate with the Green Ladders team to integrate Hebrew into interdisciplinary projects.
- Participate in school activities, trips, and events as part of the program.
Requirements:
- Fluent in Hebrew (native) and English.
- Demonstrated experience teaching Hebrew to children or teenagers.
- Relevant teaching qualification or equivalent experience.
- Energetic, sporty, and able to actively participate in physical and outdoor learning activities.
- Strong classroom management and student engagement skills.
- Organised, punctual, and adaptable.
Desirable:
- Experience in experiential, project-based, or outdoor education.
- Knowledge of international school teaching environments.
- Sports coaching or physical activity facilitation skills.
