Responsibilities
Curriculum Delivery: Develop and implement a curriculum that aligns with Montessori and early years best practices, promoting cognitive and emotional development.
Staff Leadership: Lead and mentor the nursery teaching staff, ensuring that teachers are trained, motivated, and supported in delivering high-quality care and teachings. organize weekly meetings to maintain reporting of the department to the stakeholders.
Health and Safety: Ensure that the nursery meets all health and safety standards, including safeguarding policies, and that the learning environment is conducive to children’s well-being.
Parent Communication: Maintain open lines of communication with parents, providing regular updates on their child’s development, progress, and any concerns.
Child Development.
Monitoring: Track the progress of children, identifying any areas where additional support or intervention may be needed.
Professional Development: Ensure ongoing training and development for nursery staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth.
Administrative Oversight: Handle the day-to-day operations of the nursery, including staff scheduling, enrollment, and maintaining records.
Requirements
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field. Montessori certification or training is highly desirable.
Experience: At least 5 years of experience in early childhood education, with at least 2 years in a leadership or supervisory role.
Skills:
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- The ability to manage staff.
- Interact effectively with parents.
Certifications: Valid teaching or childcare certification required.
Technology: Proficiency in using educational technology to support learning and communication with parents.
