About Luther

The Luther class is designed for children aged 7 to 8, a critical time in their cognitive, emotional, and social development. In this year group, children experience a shift towards more formal academic learning while continuing to explore the world around them through creativity, inquiry-based learning, and group collaboration. The Luther class aims to foster independence in both academic and social contexts, while also emphasizing problem-solving, critical thinking, and self-expression.

We have named our Grade 3 class after Martin Luther King Jr. to reflect our dedication to instilling values of equality, justice, and courage in our students. This class embodies the ideals of leadership, empathy, and perseverance, inspiring children to advocate for what is right while treating others with respect and dignity.

Inspired by
Martin Luther King Jr.

Martin Luther King Jr. was an American Baptist minister and civil rights leader who is best known for his role in advancing civil rights using nonviolent civil disobedience based on his Christian beliefs. He delivered the iconic “I Have a Dream” speech and was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in 1964. His leadership in the civil rights movement and his vision of equality and justice have left an enduring legacy.
