Grade 4 - Parks class (Age 8-9)

Rosa Parks was an American activist in the civil rights movement best known for her pivotal role in the Montgomery bus boycott. Her refusal to give up her seat to a white person on a bus in Montgomery, Alabama, sparked a city-wide boycott and became a symbol of resistance to racial segregation. Her courageous act of defiance and her role in igniting the civil rights movement have made her a symbol of dignity and strength.

Naming our Grade 4 class after Rosa Parks symbolizes our commitment to fostering values of bravery, integrity, and equality in our students. The class embodies the principles of courage, justice, and perseverance, encouraging children to stand up for their rights and the rights of others with dignity and respect.
